The self initiated series utilizes subtle textures and simple “Ah-ha!” graphics that push the images to be as charming as they are attractive. Inspired by the timeless design of classic Penguin Books, each piece faithfully recreates the Marber Grid that heavily adorned the publisher’s books during the 1960s and ’70s. Head over to Olly’s site to have a look at the entire series and the rest of his portfolio.

Take a look at these amazing collateral materials which surrounded SEGA’s The House of the Dead: Overkill upon its February, 2009 Wii release. With a project brief built upon explosions, over the top gore, and Rodriguez & Tarantino’s Grindhouse the branding gurus at Fluid didn’t miss a beat in their undead hearts. The work also earned itself the award of Best Press Kit at this year’s Leipzig Games Convention. Overkill reached the number three spot on the Nintendo Wii sales charts. Not bad on a console known for it’s kid friendly, mother approved games.

Based in Birmingham, UK, the folks at Fluid have sharpened their gaming chops designing for Sony Computer Entertainment, SEGA Europe, Capcom, Warner Bros. Interactive, and Disney Interactive Studios. Take a closer look at The House of the Dead: Overkill and the rest of Fluid’s work on their site.
